WELCOME TO KEELE UNIVERSITY DANCESPORT SOCIETY’S NEW WEBSITE!!!

We hope that this brand new website will provide you with the answers to all your questions about our society, competing, our sponsors, classes and our teachers .

The society is open to anyone and everyone who wants to learn to dance, meet new people or just find a fun way to keep fit and enjoy life.  The society organises unforgettable socials including the traditional bar crawls and movie nights as well as trips to  Alton Towers and outings to salsa clubs within the local vicinity and overnight trips to further away.

There is also the Keele University Dancesport Team, which comprises of couples who represent Keele at intervarsity competitions nation wide. The team also offer demonstrations at events within and external to the university.

Keele Dancesport is committed to spreading the life skill that is dance. We believe that it is a social barrier breaker that everyone is entitled to learn, which is why we participate in local community engagement projects. We aim to run our own events sometime in the near future.

The team has two professional dance teachers, Duncan Trever, who comes in once a week on Sundays to teach all the levels of dancers in Ballroom and Latin dancing, he also offers private lessons on request, ask the committee. On Tuesdays, our very popular Salsa and Bachata and La Rueda classes are lead by Jenny Oliver from 6 pm til late. For class times see the Lessons section of our website.

If you would like to learn to dance, no matter your ability, whether you feel that you have two left feet, it doesn’t matter, we cater for all so come and join our classes.
